Job Title : Junior Construction Estimator
Location : Queens, NY
Salary : Up to $75,000
We are seeking a Junior Construction Estimator with experience in both commercial and residential projects to join our clients growing team in Queens, NY.
This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging professional to play a key role in project planning, cost estimation, and bid preparation for diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for commercial and residential construction projects.
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather data and ensure comprehensive cost estimates.
- Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and participate in scope reviews.
- Help in developing project budgets and timelines based on the estimates.
- Maintain and update cost databases and records of historical pricing.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals, schedules, and documentation for submission.
Qualifications :
- Experience as a Construction Estimator, with exposure to commercial and residential projects .
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimating.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
