Solution Consultant

About the Role

As a solution consultant, you will provide subject matter expertise on supporting Nexis Solutions customers across the spectrum of offered solutions.

This includes Nexis data solutions (Nexis Data+ / APIs) and standalone SaaS solutions (Nexis, Nexis Diligence+ and Nexis Newsdesk).

You will work closely with Nexis Solutions sales professionals to identify and support sales of LexisNexis products and services with qualified customers and prospects.

Responsibilities

Conducting thorough discovery and analysis to understand a prospects unmet needs

Providing high-level presentations and / or demonstrations focused on highlighting the ability to meet prospects needs using LexisNexis solutions. (SaaS and / or API)

Aligning Nexis Solutions capability with prospects needs for optimal / creative solutions

Navigating the complexities of the solution offering and collaborate with sales representatives in building proposed solution and deal pricing

Supporting customer API implementation including credentialing, API utilization training and API support via technical queries and code

Ongoing support of subscribed API solutions by helping troubleshoot and aid in resolving implementation issues

Utilizing your role of subject matter expert to keep customers informed of the latest trends and topics and how LexisNexis can aid the customer in optimizing their investments, including presenting, and supporting market events such as tradeshows and seminars.

Collaborating with internal Product and Engineering teams to influence product innovation

Requirements

Possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Demonstrate experience in a customer / client-facing position, Pre-Sales Consulting or Solution Engineering, in B2B technology / software environment

Experience with data solutions technologies including HTML, JSON, XML, Web Services, REST, APIs, etc

Experience working with IT professionals, Solutions Architects, Python Developers, Software Engineers, etc

Possess solid presentation skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills

Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, great attention to detail, and a record of working independently, demonstrating decision-making abilities
