Buyer
We have partnered with our client, an international manufacturer, to recruit for Buyer for their Burton, OH site with the primary role of ensuring raw materials are on hand as needed to support production demands.
This position will :
- Ensure inventory is available to meet production, taking into account customer orders and sales forecasts.
- Manage relationships strategically with suppliers
- Track ordered materials and update stakeholders on status
- Coordinate change orders internally and externally
- Analyze and provide resolution to procurement and / or shipping discrepancies in conjunction with accounts payable, suppliers, and relevant internal departments
- Ensure supplier information in the system is accurate.
- Negotiate with vendors
- Facilitate resolving quality issues and necessary returns to vendors
Qualified candidates will possess :
- Bachelor degree in Business or related industry, experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 5 years’ experience in purchasing / inventory planning in a manufacturing environment, rubber or chemical related industries preferred
- ERP expertise
