As an Occupational Therapist you will conduct initial assessments, work with students to develop their fine and gross motor skills, and their posture and movement.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to empowering students to overcome challenges, embrace independence, and thrive in their unique journey of learning and development.

In your role as the Occupational Therapist you will provide in-depth consultation to teachers and delivering training sessions to parents and professionals on occupational therapy strategies.

Additionally, you'll coordinate with community agencies and travel to multiple school sites as needed, ensuring comprehensive care and support across environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy initial assessments and reassessments for children with occupational therapy needs
• Document evaluations in a thorough and professional manner
• Provide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teachers, providing professional insights for early OT interventions for their students
• Provide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goals
• Work collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support Assistants
• Assist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals
• Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
• Proof of liability insurance
• Experience with language techniques, sensory motor integration, and physical restoration
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state / federal licensing or certification requirements
• Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical / religious exemption

PREFERRED

• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to the growth and development of an engaged program culture
• Experience working with youth in a mental health or education setting

Starting at $85,402 - $99,402 per year, commensurate with experience
