Job Description Summary

The Palliative and Advanced Illness Research (PAIR) Center is seeking a full-time research administrative assistant (RAA) to provide administrative support for 2 of the Center's faculty members in the Department of Medicine.

The mission of the PAIR Center is to generate high-quality evidence to advance healthcare policies and practices with the goals of improving the lives of all people affected by serious illness and removing the barriers to health equity that seriously ill patients often face.

Job Responsibilities

Duties the RAA will include scheduling and calendar management for each individual faculty member, processing travel and other expense reimbursements, working closely with the PAIR Center's business office on submission of invoices and purchase order requests, keeping the faculty members' CV, biosketch, and other regulatory materials up to date, as well as other research-related activities to administratively support the faculty members.

The RAA will act as the main point of contact for all administrative and scheduling needs as they pertain to each faculty member's research portfolio.

The RAA will work closely with the faculty and their respective research teams to plan and organize meetings and events.

This includes securing and setting up appropriate meeting spaces, helping to draft and prepare meeting materials, communicating with attendees, facilitating travel arrangements for attendees as applicable, as well as attending and taking meeting minutes.

Position contingent upon funding.

Qualifications

High School Grad / GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred :

Experience in health care field.

Experience as an administrative assistant.

Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills.
