Departmental Overview

Urgent Care Clinic in the Norman area needs an outstanding, patient-friendly Medical Assistant to join the team. Norman Regional Primary Care is built for healing with a focus on high quality, comprehensive preventative care.

Job Summary

  • Provides care to patients of all ages and assistance to physicians and advanced practitioners in the NRHS physician office networks.
  • This position is for our Advanced Team Care model in Primary Care.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience preferred

Experience

  • Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and / or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
  • Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure / Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
  • CMA or RMA preferred.

Compensation / Benefits

  • $13.74-$22.44 / hr depending on previous work experience.

Schedule

Sunday through Saturday, 7AM-7PM hours vary up to 40 hours per week
