As a Manufacturing Data Scientist at TAMKO, you will be integral to executing AI and data-driven analytics strategies aimed at perfecting the quality, safety, and productivity of our manufacturing processes.

You will develop and deploy AI / ML predictive models and analytics as part of TAMKO’s Autopilot initiative, which seeks to digitize production lines, ensure equipment reliability, and achieve autonomous control of manufacturing processes.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the scoping, execution, and completion of projects that align with TAMKO's Autopilot End State Goals.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, and advanced analytics through the use of Digital Twins.
  • Perform data visualization and statistical analysis to reduce waste, improve availability, and enhance quality in manufacturing processes.
  • Apply mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Utilize advanced Six Sigma and statistical process control concepts to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to peers, managers, and executives through reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
  • 4 to 10 years of related work experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of peers, managers, and executives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understanding of advanced Six Sigma and statistical process control concepts, including control charts, variation, cause and effect relationships, Pareto principle (vital few / useful many), and process capability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive projects to completion.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Transact-SQL, Minitab, and Rapidminer.
  • Experience with advanced data science and machine learning tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly with implementing AI / ML solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
