WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Develops annual competency surveys for clinical staff and creates educational programs based on survey results.

Facilitates orientation and trains new clinical staff on clinical competencies.

Organizes, monitors, coordinates, and provides input into departmental policies, procedures, and competencies.

Re-educates clinical staff on required training areas as identified by the manager or remediation.

Plans and oversees new equipment / technology training for clinical staff.

Develops training materials and utilizes teaching methods specific to the individuals' training needs.

Understand and maintains current knowledge of the AAMI, OSHA, FDA, ACHC policies and recommendations and how these impact the staffing and education programs.

Supports staff development with educational activities including remediation, certification, mentoring, regulatory requirements, and new equipment / procedures.

Supports and guides staff in their personal and professional development goals and objectives.

Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Related Program or Education Preferred

Associate's Degree Healthcare Sciences or Education Preferred

High School Diploma / GED Required

3 years Sterile Processing Required and

3 years Leading Educational Initiatives in a Healthcare Environment Preferred

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) within 90 days Required and

Certified Central Supply Technician (CCST) within 90 days Required or

Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) within 90 days Required Preferred
