JOBSUMMARY

This is an Operationsposition responsible for supervising the activities associated withnight warehouse operations. Responsibilities include, but are notlimited to, the supervision of order selection, productreplenishment, order loading, ensuring safety and security of thewarehouse and providing management and direction to assignedwarehousestaff.

Sunday-Thursday4 : 30 PM -Finish

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervisesthe daily work and safety of employees engaged in order selection,product replenishment, order loading, including all warehousefunctions, selectors, loaders and night forkliftoperators.
  • Manages labor hours and consumablesupplies within budget.
  • Prepares work schedulesincluding extra work days and shifts asneeded.
  • Administers the proper utilization ofCompany assets in support of thewarehouse.
  • Coordinates required repairs withproper departments as necessary.
  • Review nightwarehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting.Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists withimplementation of changes within nightwarehouse.
  • Conducts shipping and loading auditdaily ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed(including HAACP, food safety, and catch-weight documentation) andthat material is handled and stored correctly with a minimumpotential for loss.
  • Assist with monitoringsanitation and facility / racking damage to ensure a safe and cleanwarehouse.
  • Aid with the training of newassociates, including cross-training of existingassociates.
  • Preserves associate relationsthrough regular department or pre-shiftmeetings.
  • Maintains on-goinginteraction.
  • Keeps open communication channelswith associates by answering questions and explaining policies andprocedures.
  • Monitors associatemorale.
  • Submit and respond to ideas to improveassociate engagement and enablement.
  • Interpretstrains and consistently enforces Company policies andprocedures.
  • Organizes efforts with the Safetydepartment to aid in training, conducting associate observations,up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accidentinvestigations to determine root causes and routine safetyinspections.
  • Makes recommendations fordisciplinary action and / or behavior modification whererequired.
  • Execute management functions of staffselection, development, discipline, performance reviews and / orterminations.
  • Performs the duties of employeessupervised and other related duties asneeded.
  • Complies with local, state and federalregulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA,etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED); or equivalent combination ofeducation and related experience.
  • 2 or 4-yearcollege degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management orsimilar majorpreferred.

Experience

1-3years related experience and / ortraining.

Certificates,Licenses, andRegistrations

Obtain aPowered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3months.
