Cyber Security Engineer - Chicago

As a CyberSecurity Engineer you will be responsible for designingimplementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard ourorganizations digital assets.

You will work closely with IT teamsto ensure that security best practices are integrated into allaspects of our technology infrastructure.

This role involvesmonitoring systems identifying vulnerabilities and responding tosecurity incidents to prevent and mitigaterisks.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Designand implement robust security architectures and frameworks for newand existingsystems.
• Monitorand analyze network traffic for unusual or suspicious activityusing security tools andsystems.
• Conductregular security assessments vulnerability testing and riskanalysis.
• Respondto and manage security incidents including investigation mitigationandreporting.
• Developand maintain security policies procedures andguidelines.
• Collaboratewith IT and software development teams to ensure security is builtinto system designs andoperations.
• Stayuptodate with the latest cyber threats vulnerabilities and industrybestpractices.
• Providetraining and guidance to staff on cybersecurity awareness and bestpractices.
• Ensurecompliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g.ISO 27001 GDPRNIST).
• Manageand maintain security tools such as firewalls intrusiondetection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS) and endpoint protectionplatforms.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Scienceor a relatedfield.
• 3years of experience in cybersecurity or a related ITrole.
• Strongunderstanding of cybersecurity principles including risk managementthreat modeling and incidentresponse.
• Experiencewith security tools and technologies such as SIEM firewalls IDS / IPSand encryptionmethods.
• Familiaritywith regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO 27001 GDPRandNIST.
• Stronganalytical problemsolving and communicationskills.
• Relevantcertifications (e.g. CISSP CEH CISM CompTIA Security) are highlydesirable.

PreferredQualifications :

• Experiencewith cloud security including AWS Azure or Google Cloudplatforms.
• Knowledgeof scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) forautomation.
• Experiencewith security in DevOpsenvironments.

Qualifications : Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, InformationTechnology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years ofexperience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.

Strongunderstanding of cybersecurity principles, including riskmanagement, threat modeling, and incident response. Experience withsecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS / IPS,and encryption methods.

Familiarity with regulatory requirementsand standards, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST. Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Relevantcertifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+) arehighly desirable.
