The central technology team within AGS is looking for a principal technical program or technical product manager to help us build a set of tools, systems and services to enable all AGS games to engage in community management, marketing programs, provide Amazon developer support, and help our engineering team build our game services platform.

This role will work closely with the technology, games studio and business leaders to help the organization drive and close on complex technical problems, research technology stacks, evaluate third party software used for games as a service development, provide vendor management and selection where needed.

Key job responsibilities

1) Define, own, drive and launch technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries

2) Define long-term strategy by proactively identifying emerging customer needs and looking around corners for business impact opportunities

3) Drive large scale projects spanning teams across AGS, Amazon and external software partnership inception to conclusion, formulate the product vision, define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions

4) Clearly communicate vision, plans and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders

5) Work closely with the software development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities

6) Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints

7) Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience in game and game services development

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
