Amerit Fleet Solutions , one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Technician in Everett, WA ! The Diesel Fleet Mechanic / Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium-heavy duty diesel fleet vehicles.
The technician will conduct PMs and minor repairs on a variety of fleet including JLG boom lifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, stackers, forklifts, semi tractor trucks and some cranes.
Experience with diesels, small transportation generators, and hydraulics is required. Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and a strong electrical background is preferred.
Must have DOT inspection experience. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders. Any ASEs or CDLs in possession are desired and a plus!
Shift : 2 shifts available! Monday-Friday 6 : 00AM-2 : 30PM, 2 : 00PM-10 : 30PM
Compensation : Competitive negotiable hourly pay $40-55 / hr! - Paid weekly, every Friday! SIGN-ON BONUS MAY BE INCLUDED!

What the Diesel Equipment Mechanic / Technician role looks like :
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
What our ideal candidate looks like : At least 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Mechanic / Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
- Must have own tools
- Must have valid driver's license
