Pearson is seeking an innovative Machine Learning and AI Engineer to help leverage the growing field of AI in Higher Education.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement ML and AI solutions to improve student engagement, comprehension, and personalized learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build innovative educational tools.
• Explore and apply the latest AI technologies to enhance teaching and assessment methods.
• Evaluate and optimize AI models for performance, cost-effectiveness, and educational impact.
• Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI in educational contexts.

Requirements :

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or AI development.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications.
• Knowledge of data preprocessing and analysis techniques.
• Understanding of ethical AI principles and responsible AI practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Advanced degrees welcome but not required).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and transformer-based models.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning.
• Background in educational technology or e-learning solutions.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by various factors including skill set, level of experience, and location. The full-time salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000.

This role is eligible for our annual incentive program and comprehensive benefits package.
