Boone Brothers Commercial Roofing is conveniently located off K7 and Santa Fe St. in Olathe, KS, across the road from I-35. BBR is hiring Sheet Metal Installers and Roofers who know how take quality seriously. A typical day starts by discussing the daily objectives alongside the foreman and the crew at the job site. While on the job site it is a must to install the correct flashings on the roof to meet Sheet Metal and Air Condition Contractors' National Association (SMACNA), along with the respective specifications, and the client's expectations. Commercial Roofers must maintain a clean and safe work environment, 100% tie off unless there are other OSHA approved techniques in place.  Everybody who is cooperative and has a desire to learn will have opportunities to home in on or learn application processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Install and repair commercial roofing systems including single ply, modified bitumen, and metal roofing. Read and follow blueprints, site plans, and specifications. Safely work at heights while setting up and using fall protection equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, welders, and roofing machinery. Remove old roofing materials, prepare surfaces, and install insulation and vapor barriers. Apply sealants, flashing, and edge metals to ensure roofs are watertight. Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and maintain a clean and organized job site. Handle and stage roofing materials. Apply protective coatings and finishes to extend roof life. Be reliable and show up to work on time for when and where you are reported.

Key Qualifications :

At least 18 years old with reliable transportation and authorization to work in the United States. Able to lift and carry a 28' extendable ladder. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Previous experience in construction, fabrication, or general labor. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. Able to read and write at a high school level with basic math skills. Ability to read a tape measure and safely use hand tools, tin snips, and power tools.

Experience in Single-Ply, Modified Bitumen, and BUR Roof Systems preferred
