Job Title : Technical Consultant (Chemistry)

Job Description :

We are looking for a technical consultant with a strong analytical chemistry background. The successful candidate will have proficiency in a variety of testing technologies (i.

e. Wet Chemistry, ICP, ICPMS, GC, etc.). Experience can be from petrochemical, environmental, pharmaceutical, and other industry areas.

Preferably a working knowledge of multiple technologies and testing with the ability to apply that knowledge to tests with similar equipment, detectors, and methodologies.

A background in environmental methodologies is desirable, but experience in multiple technologies and sample matrices would be preferred.

This position would include training, as needed, to fulfill responsibilities related to auditing, QA support, management system implementation and data review.

Position may include up to 75% travel. Texas residency is preferred.

Job Responsibilities :

Job duties include, but are not limited to :

• Assessing analytical chemistry methodologies
• Assessing laboratories against multiple standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 17034, TNI, DoD / DOE QSM, EPA, AOAC, Food, GMPs, etc.)

Support the following activities as they apply to the standards listed above :

• Quality system maintenance
• Internal audits
• Technical method reviews
• SOP and method reviews
• Gap assessments
• System implementation

Education and Experience Requirement :

• Bachelor of Science (minimum) degree in applied sciences (chemistry, biology, environmental science, and microbiology)
• Minimum five years of laboratory experience.

Salary and Schedule :

• Work Schedule : Typically, M-F but may require travel on weekends.
• $35+ / hr based on experience.
• Position can be contract, salary or part-time.
• Salary and part-time employment must be in Texas.
