Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position with pediatric float requirements and every other weekend scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Neonatal ICU with a typical census of 12 patients
  • Primary assignment in the NICU with float requirements to Pediatrics and stable postpartum couplet care
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 3
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Uses Epic EMR system; prior experience is strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to float to Pediatrics and stable postpartum couplet care areas as needed
  • Orientation shifts provided for both float departments
  • Maximum 7 total days of requested time off allowed during 13-week assignment
  • Modules must be completed during orientation and are required annually
  • Scrub requirements will follow hospital guidelines

    • Requirements

  • Active OR RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years NICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
  • Must have experience working with Epic EMR or demonstrate willingness to learn
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Applicants must live more than 75 miles from the facility
