Job Description
This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama.
The job duties include; but are not limited to; (1) design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes, and special tooling / equipment (2) creation and maintenance of detailed work instructions, (3) manufacturing production floor support required to assemble and test a variety of military missiles (4) develop and implement root cause and corrective / preventative actions.
The role requires the ability to :
Interpret engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications and schematics.
Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement the corrective / preventative actions.
Demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands-on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly & test along with repairing nonoperating tools and equipment.
The Locale : Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters.

5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Must be able to work all schedules / shifts (first shift, night shift, and weekend schedule).
Desired skills
Working knowledge / experience of manufacturing mechanical assembly processes, electronic testing methods, factory automation equipment, industrial safety processes, technical writing, and teaming.
Ability to (1) read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications / schematics; (2) understand basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) references;
3) create and maintain Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings.
Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and / or home equipment and products.
Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Systems Applications & Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in a manufacturing environment.
