Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : New Braunfels, TX 78130 (Texas nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse Start Date : September 29, 2025 End Date : December 27, 2025 Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Nurse / Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 for Labor and Delivery; 1 : 6 (3 moms / 3 babies) for Postpartum Estimated Weekly Pay : $1820 - $1950 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN or related nursing specialty Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (AHA only) Certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation / Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Completion of all annual competency verification requirements Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to Labor & Delivery and postpartum patients in a clinical setting Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, labor process, and available resources Delegate tasks and assignments appropriately to manage clinical situations Participate in ongoing competency and skills validation as required for healthcare professionals Apply now to join our collaborative healthcare team in New Braunfels, Texas, and experience a rewarding travel nursing opportunity in Labor & Delivery!
