Job Summary :
The Finance Planning and Analysis Intern is responsible for performing functions within the Finance department that support the daily financial operations at Inland.
This position will work with various internal and external customers, while maintaining a high level of customer service, to assist in meeting Finance department goals and objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Assists Finance team with daily duties that may include but not be limited to :
- Analyze financial reports and review variances
- Operational metrics and reporting
- Supports budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assists with forecasting, and sales analysis
- Assists department to streamline and automate processes
- Prepare / assist department with month-end analysis and reporting
- Assists with forecasting and sales analysis
- Inventory reconciliation
- Maintain receivable and collection efforts
- Prepares various financial spreadsheets, reconciliations and analysis as needed.
- May perform / assist department with other finance activities, clerical activities and / or assist on projects as needed.
This internship is a learning opportunity and may involve a mix of independent work and team collaboration.
Essential skills and experience :
- Must be enrolled in Finance, Accounting or other related Associate or Bachelor degree program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nonessential skills and experience :
- Enrolled in an advanced degree program in Business, Accounting or another related field
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with financial software applications.
Work Environment :
- Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments
- Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, regulatory agencies, employees, team members, and managers
Required Work Schedule :
- Typically works up to 20 hours during standard business hours. Exact working schedule flexible around school commitments.
- Must be flexible for meetings and responsibilities outside of standard business hours, including weekends.
Physical Requirements :
- Position is generally sedentary; must have 20 / 40 corrected vision; No unusual physical requirements are necessary
