Summary

This position is primarily responsible for managing both direct customers and the distribution channel within an assigned territory to achieve sales and revenue goals.

This position must have the ability to perform the following :

Responsibilities :

  • Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
  • Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase sales volume.
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Conduct training and educational programs with customers, distributors and representatives.
  • Sales calls with distributors and manufacturing reps along with cold calls.
  • Trouble shoots customer issues along with recommendations for solutions.
  • Weekly call reports explaining in detail the contacts made that week using online reporting program.

Minimum required qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • At least three to five years previous outside industrial sales experience,
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment or related.
  • Ability to travel 4 days per week
  • Must reside in the territory in which they represent.
  • Able to be exposed to customer manufacturing facilities.

Has a working background or knowledge in engineering concepts and methodologies
