Dip Into This Role
- Train hourly team members in essential job functions.
- Assign daily work schedule and tasks.
- Update mid-shift and pass-down reports.
- Establish communication with hourly team members to meet performance expectations.
- Assess work for exactness, neatness and conformance to receiving procedures.
- Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, checking in materials, and matching advanced ship notices (ASN) and BOMs.
- Perform safety, GMP (good manufacturing practices), and master sanitation audits.
- Collaborate with the Quality Team to ensure food safety and product quality requirements are followed.
- Provide direction to warehouse teams to facilitate the execution of the shipping schedule.
- Update productivity performance reports for the shift.
- Perform backup duties and responsibilities of the shipping coordinator, samples desk, and inventory coordinators.
- Perform backup duties of the logistics supervisor.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Recipe for Success
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
- Light work usually requiring walking, bending or standing to a significant degree
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work in cold temperatures (30 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Required to work in an office or warehouse environment
- Ability to see, hear, feel and distinguish odors
- Hand / eye coordination
- Possible exposure to hazardous or explosive materials including gasoline and forklift batteries
- May be required to wear protective clothing such as a hardhat, steel toed shoes, and hairnet or beard net while in specified areas of the warehouse
- High School Diploma
