About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty : Respiratory Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night - 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 : 30 am Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience License : Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan Certifications : - Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care- BLS Must-Have : - RRT certification- Team player- Preferred experience in NICU Job Description : Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units.- Maintain clinical expertise for assignments across various business units.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, physicians, and other staff regarding patient care needs.- Document all aspects of patient care adequately.
- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to other Respiratory Therapists, orients, externs, and students.- Complete accurate and necessary patient billing information.
This role requires an Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program, with a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
Candidates will work with varying patient loads, including potentially six beds in the ICU and treating 1 to 20 patients elsewhere.
