Job Summary
We are seeking a Radiology / Cardiology to join our team! 13-week travel contract in the New Brunswick area! As a Radiology Technician, you will be preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results.
You will also be assisting in maintaining and cleaning radiology equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining an inventory of daily supplies.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in a medical setting, and excellent attention to detail.
13 weeks
Shift time : 7a-7 : 30p
3x12s or 4x10s (specify in submittal)
Daily Caseload : 3-6, rotating between 8 rooms
1+ Years of experience required
First time travelers are not accepted
On-Call every 2-3 weekends. On-call schedule is Fri : 7p-7a, Sat : 24 hours, 7a-7a; and Sun : 24 hours, 7a-7a
No block schedules
Locals accepted
AART / NJ License or RCIS accepted
BLS, ACLS required
Skill Requirements : Scrub, diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, CTO, structural heart, ablations, devices (include ICD, Pacemakers, loop recorders etc.
interpretation / management of dysrhythmias; Will accept proficiency in either cath or EP lab procedures, both skillsets highly desired
Equipment experience required : Sterile procedure and equipment set up, rotablator, IABP, closure devices, balloon inflator, and stents
Charting System : EPIC, Cupid and Merge
Responsibilities
- Get to know patients to understand their medical needs and concerns, building and maintaining connections
- Set up equipment for testing, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure to get the proper results
- Thoroughly document all patient services within a patient’s chart
- Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary
- Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with medical charting desired
- Strong attention to detail
