Project Superintendent - Public Sector
Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of public sector projects, including schools, and government buildings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership : Lead and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
- Communication : Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues promptly.
- Quality Control : Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Problem Solving : Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, minimizing delays and disruptions.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on public sector, education, or federal projects.
- Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED are a plus.
- Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
