Position Overview :
They are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead their financial quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing board presentations, financial analyses, capital expenditure assessments, and other senior management requests.
This role serves as the analytical engine of the company, offering insights and support for optimal business decision-making.
The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a critical role in supporting the company's strategic objectives, enhancing operational efficiency, managing growth, and maintaining its commitment to sustainability.
This position is vital for a company poised for rapid expansion in the energy management sector.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators across all areas, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor performance indicators, identify trends, and analyze the causes of unexpected variances.
- Supervise Financial Analyst(s).
- Oversee and manage the ongoing development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools.
- Produce quarterly and monthly financial reports.
- Implement and utilize business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.
- Evaluate processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in various projects, such as marketing programs, pricing, new store rollouts, and more.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making.
- Support the Senior Management Team and Department Heads with in-depth financial analysis.
- Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; an MBA is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role as a Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with NetSuite is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinking and initiative in financial planning and problem-solving.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience working in a management capacity.

Compensation : $140,000 - $160,000 + bonus depending on experience
