Senior Regulatory Operations Manager, Cities - Services + Experiences (contract)

Airbnb is building a global platform that connects hosts and guests with local communities. The Cities team supports guests, hosts, and local governments to ensure successful global compliance with local regulations while scaling company growth. Services and Experiences are new verticals within Cities that enhance guest experiences through services and experiences that connect guests with local knowledge.

We are seeking a data-centric, entrepreneurial operator to join our agile Services and Experiences Regulatory Operations team. You will scale regulatory compliance strategies in a fast-evolving global landscape, supporting legal, vetting, and business teams to design smarter, more efficient processes. This role is not a traditional regulatory operations job; it emphasizes curiosity, learning, pragmatic innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will own compliance programs, align strategy and execution across diverse stakeholders, and present to cross-functional peers and leadership. You should be energized by improving how things work, comfortable leveraging data and technology, and able to balance scrappy work with polished communication. Your work will help Airbnb unlock new opportunities and maintain trust within the Services and Experiences community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a collaborative partner to Legal, Engineering, Supply, and Scaled Operations, supporting daily operational needs while identifying opportunities to test and apply improvements in areas such as vendor performance, forecasting, and pipeline health.
• Establish and maintain operational rhythms—own stakeholder management, project tracking, documentation, and process improvement.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, streamline, and automate regulatory workflows, leveraging AI and technology to reduce manual work and boost efficiency.
• Work with Policy, Legal, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations to align roadmaps and deliver impactful, measurable results.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to explore, test, and implement new tools, including AI-enabled solutions, ensuring successful rollout, enablement, and adoption.
• Analyze operational and regulatory risks, identify strategic opportunities, and build reporting and tool infrastructure that supports evolving compliance needs.
• Lead change management and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting front-line teams and documenting best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate Range : $100-$114 / hr

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
