We are currently seeking a Risk Control Associate to join the Agribusiness team. The associate will provide risk control consulting services and technical support to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause / effect of major losses and hazard / safety management programs.

Additionally, will provide information to the Underwriting Department for risk evaluation and assessment.

What you will do :

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide consultative services to support the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial insurance business within time and quality standards.
  • Identify and communicate effective risk control management recommendations to include training programs to improve policyholder safety and risk programs.
  • Assist policyholders in developing and maintaining effective loss control programs by providing technical information, loss analysis, resources, guidance, and leadership for all lines of insurance.

Coordinate and conduct training programs that will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.

  • Maintain files and pertinent documents on all assigned accounts in the territory; creates and follows action plans as needed to acquire and maintain profitable business.
  • Inform policyholders, producers, and other affected staff, as necessary of any new regulations pertinent to commercial loss control management.

This position will provide service to customers in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

As such, the ideal candidate will reside in North Carolina (Raleigh area preferred) or Virginia (Richmond area preferred).

Regular travel will be required.
