Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on new business development and distributor partnerships.
The individual in this role will work with the Energy, Test and Measuring business unit in North America to sell industry-leading electrical testing equipment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new distribution channels for our products across the United States.
This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with potential distributors.

Role and Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential distributors to expand our market presence.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business development goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, ensuring alignment with our brand and product offerings.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential distributors.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with new distributors to secure partnerships.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that support distributor sales efforts.
- Conduct product training with sales agencies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Travel extensively (approximately 50% of the time) to meet with potential distributors and attend industry events and tradeshows.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field would be a plus.
2 3 years proven experience in sales, with a focus on new business development and distributor management.
Experience within an Electrical trade is preferred.
Required Skills / Abilities
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience with electrical installations
Must have excellent working knowledge of electrical tools including testing equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on the phone and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
This is an in-office position based in Charlotte, NC, with 50% travel within the United States.
