Position Overview : (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions) :

Provides service to adolescents and adults. Produces high quality images for Radiology and the assigned areas within the Operating room that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology.

Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves.

Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.

Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Seeking a candidate with experience in both Neuro and Vascular procedures. Experience in Neuro procedures include; Cerebral Angiograms and Interventions (strokes, aneurysm treatment, stentings), Spinal Venogram Embolizations, Myelograms, and Lumbar Punctures.

Experience in Vascular procedures include; Angiograms, Venograms, Central lines, Nephrostomy, Biliary, and Leg Ablations.

Additional Experience and / or Qualifications :

Experience within a sterile environment, aseptic technique, and scrub experience required. Minimum of one year IR experience required.

Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations) :

Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique required. Associates degree required.

EDUCATION

Minimum Education and / or Experience Required : (Education Requirements and Experience) :

Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible with certification obtained before start date of employment.

Must have an Associate's degree in a related field and be a graduate of an accredited radiography program

Licensure / Certification Required :

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists : R.T.(R) (ARRT) ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI).

Current Basic Life Support certification.

Comments

Primarily Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts vary from : 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, 9 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm. Will work on-call evenings / weekends / holidays Experience within a sterile environment, aseptic technique, and scrub experience required.

Minimum of one year IR experience required.
