Position Overview

Nvelop is looking for a motivated and growth-oriented Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join our Plasmid and Cell Line Development team.

The successful candidate will assist to develop a first-class suspension cell line development platform for high-quality non-viral drug delivery vehicle production, including both transient transfection and stable producer cell line effort.

As part of the job, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop cutting-edge molecular biology and analytical tools to extend their skill set.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Work under CLD team leader for clonal host cell line development. Activities include chemically defined single-cell cloning, clone expansion, clone screening, clone evaluation, and cell banking.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with research groups for DLVR-M stable producer cell line platform development.
  • Work with the automation team to simplify and accelerate the cell line development process via liquid handler.
  • Author and review Benchling entries, technical reports, protocols, and regulatory documents to ensure clonal cell line traceability.
  • Assist other team members with plasmid development. Activities include but are not limited to construct optimization, molecular cloning, plasmid evaluation, and inventory organization.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree (+1-5 years) with hands-on mammalian cell culture experience is required.
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field with a strong math background is required.
  • Well-organized working habits and aseptic techniques are required.
  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology is required.
  • Eager to learn cutting-edge technologies and curiosity about science are required.
  • Prior experience in flow cytometry is highly desired but not required.
  • Critical thinking abilities plus exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Good communication within CLD team and cross-functional teams are key for this position.

Additional Requirements :

Full time in-person work is necessary for our laboratory-based positions. We work in facilities that require that all individuals working on-site are vaccinated for COVID-19.

Position title and salary will be commensurate with experience.
