Summary The Co-op or Intern shall work in a team environment to dimension and annotate CAD drawings for use in the field from drawings developed by designers and engineers that are consistent with the AutoCAD / Revit standards set forth at McKenney’s, Inc.
Responsibilities
Creative Created with Sketch. Create Utilize McKenney’s drafting standards to create and edit shop drawings. Utilize McKenney’s drafting standards to create and edit spool sheets for fabrication.
Design Created with Sketch. Design Dimension and annotate drawings developed by designers.Draft redlines drawings from project engineers and designers.
Understand layering techniques, pen weights, etc. required to produce a clear & legible drawing. Management Created with Sketch.
Management Willingness to seek knowledge from others.Enthusiastic about job responsibilities.Responsible for producing all documents in a timely matter based on job requirements to meet the commitments to our customers, both internal and external.
Requirements
Degree Created with Sketch. Education High school diploma or GED. Experience Created with Sketch. Experience Drafting certificate or 6 months experience in drafting.
6 months experience with AutoCAD 8 or Revit 8 or higher. Administration Created with Sketch. Skills Ability to draw simple sections with designer’s / engineer’s direction.
Provide design assistance to engineers and designers. Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
