- related teaching experience at the undergraduate level; excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
ability to interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training / Education : Familiarity with undergraduate Psychology curriculum; familiarity with
online course technology and learning management systems (Canvas); NC resident or greater Charlotte metropolitan area. Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for individuals to teach undergraduate classes (any format in person, hybrid, or full only) with expertise or prior teaching of large (100 +) undergraduate courses such as PSYC 2117, 2121, 2124, or 2151 for Fall 2024.
In addition, a candidate being able and willing to teach research methods courses will be desirable.
Responsibilities could include : Developing and / or updating course syllabus, preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments, meeting all designated class periods, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours, grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner, submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
