Role : Security Consultant

Location : Louisville, KY (Remote)

Type : Contract

Note : Security Consultant focused on Infrastructure. Use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures. Candidate should have security policy experience, working with majority of the tools below - Intune, MS Defender, CyberArk, Qualys (vulnerability scan), Az MFA, Az security tools, Proof Point, Zscaler, Google Chronicle

Description :

  • The Security Consultant plays a critical role in evaluating business strategies and determining security requirements.
  • This position involves varied assignments that often require independent judgment and interpretation to identify the most appropriate course of action.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess and define security needs based on business goals and technical requirements.
  • Implement security controls as part of :
  • Defined security initiatives
  • Remediation of identified security gaps
  • Alignment with industry best practices (e.g., CIS Benchmarks) Review and secure systems, including :
  • Local Area Networks (LANs)
  • Wide Area Networks (WANs)
  • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
  • Routers, firewalls, and other network security devices Review and secure Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including :
  • Certification Authorities (CAs)
  • Digital signatures
  • Hardware and software components
  • Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security strategies support broader business and IT objectives.
  • Make decisions independently, even in ambiguous situations, while following established procedures and seeking guidance when necessary.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of technical cybersecurity experience or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience integrating cybersecurity technologies with existing enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing cybersecurity solutions with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Passion for enhancing consumer experiences through continuous improvement.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent
