Isaiah House is looking for a supportive and dedicated individual to take on the role of Recovery Mentor.
This is a regular full-time position working weekends.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS :
Serve as a positive role model for clients by acting and speaking with integrityBe available for one-on-one support when requestedAssist in leading structured activity groupsShare relevant personal recovery experiences to encourage clientsPromote client voice and choice during planning and implementation of goalsSupport client retention and provide crisis intervention when neededAdvocate for clients by attending or accompanying them to team meetings if requestedEncourage clients to build confidence and advocate for themselvesWork closely with other departments to improve the client experience and retention effortsDocument client interactions, structured activities, and progress notes in KIPUPerform any other duties assigned by the Programs / Operations SupervisorSKILL SETS :
Coaching and mentoring abilityStrong organizational and detail orientationSkilled in communication and teamworkKnowledge of clinical and organizational practicesApproachable and positive attitudePassionate and empatheticAssertive problem-solving skillsServant leadership mindsetQUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma or GED requiredAPSS certified, or eligible to obtain certification upon hireMinimum of one year of sobriety and demonstrate ongoing recoveryLived experience with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges, and a demonstrated pattern of recoveryExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s licenseRequirements :
Adhere to Isaiah House policies and proceduresAttend mandatory in-services and other training / educational programs as requiredHold APSS certificationMaintain APSS certificationAbility to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to assist and support clients who may require reasonable accommodation
