Hospice Vice President of Operations
Overview
CommuniCare is experiencing rapid growth in our Home Health and Hospice divisions, and we are excited to expand our team to include a Hospice Vice President of Operations.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join us as our new Hospice VP of Operations. This position reports to the CEO of Home Health and Hospice and will be based out of our corporate office in Blue Ash, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati).
The Hospice VP of Operations will play a fundamental role in establishing roots for a division that will soon offer internal Hospice services to CommuniCare’s LTC network and, shortly after accreditation, to all those in need.
There will be a focus on being the best and standing out against competitors. An ideal candidate will have a similar vision to that of our CEO’s and will execute strategic initiatives that focus on growing with a purpose and scaling the branches accordingly.
Purpose of Position
The Hospice Vice President of Operations is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations on a branch level with a focus on improving employee performance and helping improve office management strategy.
The VP of Operations safeguards the new and current Hospice divisions to continually meet local, state, and federal regulations and laws concerning the CHAP accreditation and licensure process.
This role will oversee the current Hospice branches in Ohio while supporting the new Hospice startup processes in Cincinnati, OH, and Indianapolis, IN.
Additional positional purposes include :
- Provide operational insights to the executive leadership with an emphasis on operational improvements and efficiencies.
- The ability to manage administrators at a local level.
- Emphasis on developing staff, growing sales, and obtaining fiscal goals.
- Monitor expenditures for the annual budget while providing reports and updates to the executive team.
- Work closely with the Hospice Regional Sales Director to complement local and regional growth.
- Work closely with the clinical staff from a local to corporate level.
- Foster an unrelenting focus and climate of urgency that balances the opportunity to transform care delivery with current clinical realities.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a medical-oriented administrator or manager within a translatable field, preferably Hospice.
- Continually meets local, state, and federal regulations and laws concerning the CHAP accreditation and licensure process.
- Has been in a role, within the past year, that required learning updated policies and procedures specific to Hospice.
- Clean background and active driver’s license required.
- Able to travel throughout the Midwest as needed. Travel requirements will grow as the division grows. Immediate travel needs will include frequent travel to Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, and St.
Clairsville, OH. (Mileage reimbursement provided)
Educational Requirement
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree from an accredited school of therapy or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Must be able to immediately obtain relevant licensure in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.
