The Nurse Practitioner will perform complete initial evaluations and assessments and provides direct patient care for adult and adolescent patients enrolled in the Partial Hospitalization Program.

This position is currently Part-time, Monday - Friday schedule with strong clinical and administrative support offered to our physiciansJob Duties / Responsibilities : Psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis.

Consultation and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary treatment team.Patient and family psychoeducation.Prescribing and managing of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for behavioral health problems.

Risk assessments.Involvement in practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care in Partial Hospitalization Programs.

Treatment team leadership and daily care of partial hospitalization patients (Adult and Adolescent).Medical record documentation.

• Graduate degree from an accredited program.* A minimum of two years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
• Valid state licensure. Specialty licensure or certification as appropriate.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to all information.* Skilled in flexibility, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Stress management and crisis management skills.* Skills in analysis and evaluation.* Sound clinical judgment and decision-making.
• Skills in clinical supervision and basic skills in personnel management concepts and methods.* Basic teaching or training skills preferred.
• Able to understand and apply applicable standards and regulations (e.g. JCAHO, HCFA).* A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
• An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.

Other requirements of this position : * Must complete all required mandatory in-services and assigned training modules.* Must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation upon hire and every two years thereafter.
