Diesel Service Technician MN

DIESEL MECHANIC JOB DESCRIPTION* EJ Equipment Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Service Mechanic to join our team in Shakopee, MN.

This is a full-time, hourly position in the Commercial Heavy Equipment industry. As a Diesel Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service and maintenance to diesel equipment and vehicles.

You will be working on a variety of diesel engines, including but not limited to trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities : - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment and vehicles, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and brake repairs.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, using diagnostic tools and equipment.- Complete necessary repairs and replacements on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of diesel equipment and vehicles, to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.- Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing updates on repair progress and recommendations for preventative maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols in the shop and on job sites.- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and changes in diesel technology.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.Requirements : - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment.- Must have own tools and a valid driver's license.
• Experience in the auto industry is preferred.- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
