Senior Associate Scientist I / II

Mosaic Biosciences is seeking a full-time Senior Associate Scientist to join the highly dynamic Cell-Based Assay Team based in Boulder, CO.

This individual will support multiple drug-discovery programs, collaborating internally and with broader scientific teams.

Critical to this role is the ability to independently plan, execute, and analyze experiments as well as carry out daily lab activities.

An ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cellular biology, well-developed aseptic technique, and hands-on experience with standard biology lab techniques such as flow cytometry, qPCR, western blot, and ELISA, and other plate-based analytic assays.

Responsibilities :

  • Initiate, maintain, and cryopreserve mammalian cell lines using aseptic technique
  • Execute assays using defined protocols for flow cytometry, FACS cell sorting, ELISAs, qPCR, generation of stable cell lines, and other complex plate-based assays
  • Design and analyze experimental plans with minimal supervision
  • Present data to internal as well as external stakeholders as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process and laboratory execution improvements
  • Carefully interpret data and accurately document the details of all experiments in an electronic lab notebook
  • Assist with routine instrument maintenance

Qualifications :

  • BS / BA in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other related science with 4-6 + years of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of basic scientific and technical concepts relevant to cell biology and cellular assays, and ability to adapt and apply this knowledge to diverse areas of research
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively and constructively with team members
  • Ability to communicate scientific content both in written and oral formats
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Experience with flow cytometry and ELISAs is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Benchling, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism are a plus)

This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO with in-person work in our labs.

Compensation Range : $70,000- $93,000
