Description

Position Purpose

The Field Account Representative is responsible for maintaining existing customer accounts and onboarding new customers.

They will develop strong relationships through personalized customer service, supply chain knowledge, and robust CHEP systems competency.

They will also provide virtual and onsite training and support.

  • Number of Countries : 2 (United States & Canada)
  • Number of Accounts : 50
  • Travel : 50%

Major / Key Accountabilities

  • Proactive monitoring of account health metrics and KPI’s to ensure a well-maintained supplier base linked to programs.
  • Ongoing support for account audits, reconciliations, and debt management.
  • Identify mutual cost savings initiatives and sales growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights and support to peers as well as commercial / sales team.
  • Regular business reviews and sharing of best practices.
  • Identify or share customer generated opportunities to improve customer experience / journey.
  • Support customer facing system enhancements through testing and providing feedback.
  • Continue the growth of the Automotive NA business through successful implementation of additional suppliers to existing programs.
  • Account Setup (Location, Contacts, Logistics, Pricing, and relevant data)
  • Ensure necessary stakeholders are trained to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Confirm forecasts against actual to maintain healthy inventory levels.
  • Complete New Account Reviews on a 30, 60, 90-day cadence.

  • Prioritizing time and resources to make the largest impact.
  • Working with large and / or incomplete data sets to measure account health and KPI’s.
  • Working with customers / contacts with limited resources and / or program knowledge
  • Utilize lean principles to provide value, reduce waste, and deliver customer value.

Qualifications

Essential

Business related college degree or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Conceptual Sales Training
  • Negotiation Training

Experience

  • Customer Service / Account Management experience; or
  • Logistics / Supply Chain knowledge; or
  • Automotive industry knowledge

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong Customer Service / Experience orientation
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills (Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to interact effectively virtually and in-person.
  • Ability to interact at many levels within an organization.
  • Ability to build cases for escalation and support customer negotiations.
  • CHEP Systems (SAP, Business Warehouse, Salesforce, Power BI)
