Job Description and Duties

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Under the general supervision of the Materials and Stores Supervisor II (M&SSII), the Materials and Stores Supervisor I (M&SSI), is responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with the operation of the Inmate Welfare Fund (IWF), Prison Canteen Operations.

Regular Days Off, (RDO’s) Saturday and Sunday with duty hours of 0700 to 1500, Monday through Friday. Staff is regularly assigned to the Folsom State Prison (FSP) Canteen Warehouse, however, may be required to operate in any of the FSP canteens in absence of other M&SSI’s or on an as needed basis due to staff shortages for coverage purposes.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application.

Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position.

Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing / evaluation thereafter.
