SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health is seeking applicants for Hospitalist Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
The position is located at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Duties include :
- Communicating with patients primary care physicians to obtain relevant medical history information and to coordinate care with other providers
- Providing clinical support to patients in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Performing diagnostic tests such as blood work or urinalysis to monitor patient health and detect disease progression
- Performing physical examinations and conducting medical procedures, such as administering injections or drawing blood
- Educating patients about their diagnosis, treatment plan, and any lifestyle changes they need to make to improve their health
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner
- Performing diagnostic tests such as x-rays, MRI scans, ultrasound scans, etc. to evaluate injuries or illnesses
- Educating patients about their condition, treatment options, and follow-up care plans
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times such as illness or injury
