Position Title : Director of Training, Children and Families Specialty Plan
Job Description :
Healthy Blue North Carolina is looking to hire a Director of Training, reporting to the Executive Director of our Children and Families Specialty Plan.
This people leader will develop and implement comprehensive training and outreach strategies, ensuring alignment with the North Carolina Children and Families Specialty Plan (CFSP) and NCDHHS requirements.
This role oversees a regional team, manages stakeholder relationships, and ensures the effectiveness and compliance of training programs to enhance service delivery and meet contractual obligations.
This role can work in a hybrid way from our Durham or Winston-Salem, North Carolina offices. The internal title is Manager II Special Programs.
How you will make an impact :
- Develop and deliver customized training and engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with health plan and NCDHHS requirements.
- Manage a team of 6 training and engagement liaisons. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
- Connect with North Carolina training groups and develop relationships with various stakeholders to identify training and engagement needs.
- Create, manage, and disseminate training content, ensuring it meets all contractual requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate all training and engagement activities within the health plan and with partner agencies.
- Engage with state agencies and community partners to create collaborative strategies.
- Maintain consistent educational outreach through various formats like webinars, newsletters, and town halls.
- Present conference proposals relevant to the health plan and conduct evaluations to incorporate feedback into future training.
- Participate in additional training opportunities to align with required outcomes.
- Direct and oversee program operations, collaborating with functional managers and participating in cross-functional workgroups to support corporate and health plan management.
- Evaluate program operations to enhance efficiency, financial return, customer service, and provider engagement, while managing resource utilization, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure appropriate care delivery and task coverage.
Minimum Requirements :
Requires a BA / BS and minimum of 6 years experience, including prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Highly preferred skills and experiences :
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the child welfare system and the interconnectivity between family preservation and stakeholder engagement within the Systems of Care framework.
- Extensive experience in building community relationships, developing and delivering community training programs, driving the development of materials, managing the engagement of community organizations.
- Experience in managing staff and coordinating the delivery of content within group settings.
- Expertise in developing, training and implementing community-based curricula and / or evidence-based models, such as High Fidelity Wraparound, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and DBT.
- Proficient in training large groups of professionals in multiple formats (in-person, online, pre-recorded).
- Experience with graphic design.
