Join our team at the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU / Neuro ICU) as a Critical Care Nurse. This unit provides specialized care to critically ill adult patients, with a focus on surgical and neurological conditions requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures
- Assess patient needs and evaluate responses to care
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing
Requirements :
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques
