Report To : Senior Director, Customer Services and Sales

Overview : The Corporate Sales Representative represents Louisiana Association for the Blind's (L.A.B.) products and services to corporate and federal entities.

The Corporate Sales Representative is responsible for expanding the organization's book of business by using their knowledge of company products and services, potential prospects, building relationships, providing presentations, meeting target goals, and contributing to the overall growth of the organization.

This includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major and minor sales to prospective customers for L.A.B.'s divisions.

Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Become an expert in product knowledge, services, and core values of L.A.B. and the AbilityOne Program.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and government buyers of L.A.B. products and services.
  • Proficiency and consistency in cold calling, prospecting, and follow-up with potential customers.
  • Proficiency at closing sales.
  • Complete daily agendas and sales call reports as required.
  • Provide forecasting and budgeting as required by management on an ongoing basis.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales quota and sales metrics.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to stakeholders and overcome objections.
  • Ensure on track to target revenues with regards to funnel accuracy and pipeline.
  • Build a client base and use local delivery of orders to increase sales opportunities.
  • Consistently learn products and usages to accurately demonstrate.
  • Have good people skills, personality, and persuasion ability.
  • Screen bidding platforms to find bidding opportunities.
  • Utilize available databases to generate client prospect lists.
  • Actively seek leads using a variety of media sources.
  • Professionally represent L.A.B.
  • Remain up to date on industry news and trends.
  • Participate in local regional and national trade shows and product demonstrations when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher (preferred).
  • Business- to-Business (B2B) sales experience (preferred).
  • Prior military service (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity.
  • Government sales experience (1-5 years).
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales deals and large government contracts.
  • The ability to travel is required for tradeshows and events.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Experience in establishing trust and rapport quickly.
  • Goal-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Comfortable making cold calls daily.
  • Ability to drive new business by presenting to companies and generating new accounts.
  • Comfortable in meeting deadlines and ability to adapt to change.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a team player.
  • Self-starter capable and able to work independently.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Valid Driver's license.

Security :

Must be able to pass a background check for access to military and federal installations (required).

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on computers.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of driving.
  • Travel when necessary (includes air flights).
