Project Manager
SUMMARY : LogistiQ, a Division of LEWCO is a fast-growing conveyor equipment supplier for
customers in retail, ecommerce & distribution located in Port Clinton, Ohio. With deep roots in
American ingenuity, LogistiQ has the experience of a 100-year-old company but operates much like a
start-up with high energy and nimble speed.
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee conveyor system installation and
maintenance projects from our office location. The ideal candidate will have experience in
the conveyor industry, strong project management skills, and excellent leadership abilities.
The Office-Based Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are
completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following : (Other duties may
be assigned)
Manage all planning and implementation activities for conveyor and automation
equipment projects
Develop project plans and schedules, and ensure that all project tasks are completed
on time and within budget
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and internal teams
- Work closely with Field Project Managers, Installation Coordinators / Managers and
Program Managers to effectively plan and execute implementation projects as
required
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality
standards
Develop strong working relationships with external and internal customers, including
contractors and subcontractors
Resolve any project-related issues that may arise and develop contingency plans
when necessary
Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service
to ensure project success
Provide training and support to clients on conveyor system operations and
maintenance
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the conveyor industry
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of conveyor system design and installation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to client sites occasionally, up to 20% of the time
- Experience with Lewco conveyor products and Intralox Sorters a plus
- Working knowledge of building codes and application to the specific products involved in
implementation
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, project management, related field OR
10 years of equivalent field experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings,
specifications, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Fluent in reading and writing English
- Understanding of Spanish is a plus
COMPUTER SKILLS :
- Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Possess adequate skill to navigate and work within company’s ERP and CRM software
- Proficient to excellent typing skills are required
- Experience utilizing AutoDesk products for viewing drawings a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
walk and reach with hands and arms
Employee will be exposed to materials that have SDS sheets but are not life
threatening
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving
mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
