Maintenance Technician role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing processing and packaging equipment and distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.

Key responsibilities for this position include :

Maintenance Technician

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and facilities, and aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
• Some overtime & weekend " off hours" availability as needed even without forecast.
• Perform and follow all OSHA guidelines regarding work and safety manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
• Write simple correspondence, and complete manufacturing documentation completely.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble all parts of machines and support equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Work in a safe and professional manner demonstrating positive attitude and professional demeanor in the performance of daily work

SQF Requirements :

• Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
• Required to wear food safety / sanitation PPE (provided by company).
• This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
• Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Qualifications :

• Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Must be able to assess all areas of machines and support equipment in Dairy facility.
• Be able to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of boiler function and operation.
• 3-5 years' experience in maintenance divisions or experience in a related position.
• Ability to perform TIG welding
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

This is a 12 hour shift 6pm-6am (Every other Weekend off!) :

Week 1 : 48 Hours, Week 2 : 36 hours

Week 1 : Sat-On, Sun-On, Mon-Off, Tues-Off, Wed-On, Thurs-On, Fri-Off

Week 2 : Sat-Off, Sun-Off, Mon-On, Tues-On, Wed-Off, Thurs-Off, Fri-On
