A day in the life.

The National BI Industry Practice Leader is responsible for the development and execution of our industry strategy across all lines of business and regions within Marsh McLennan Agency.

As the Industry Strategy leader, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization to identify emerging trends, assess market opportunities and develop innovative strategies that will position our Producers and Service Colleagues as industry specialists.

This role will collaborate with Sales to execute growth strategies and develop colleagues, with Communications to ensure stakeholders are well-informed and understand the value of industry specialization, as well as with the Lines of Business Leaders to develop custom solutions for industry niches.

This position requires the ability to independently multi-task and prioritize projects. In addition, this highly collaborative role requires excellent influencing skills, business acumen, adaptability and problem solving.

The following are required :

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance industry, including experience within a broker / agency environment (preferably with a portion of that time in a sales role).
  • Demonstrated success developing strategy, managing complex initiatives and multiple stakeholders, and meeting agreed upon goals and outcomes.
  • Servant leadership style, positive energy, and ability to work collaboratively with carriers.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives, to develop and gain support of a vision and strategy, and to operate effectively under pressure.
  • Established senior and executive leadership relationships throughout the P&C space and with counterparts in London / domestic E&S space.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize among multiple needs, demands, opportunities and strategies.
  • BA / BS degree focused on Business, Risk Management or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software

Up to 25-35% national travel required for meetings and events

The applicable base salary range for this role is $127,170 - $237,300. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
