AT-RISK COORDINATOR
Qualifications :
- Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Administrative Certification
- Experience working with at-risk students
- Knowledge of appropriate strategies for reducing at-risk behaviors
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and adults
- Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and track intervention plans and strategies

Job Goal :
To assume responsibility for appraising and meeting the sociological as well as educational needs of students who are at risk of not succeeding in the school setting
Performance Responsibilities :
- Provide instruction for social skills and academic support
- Assist Problem Solving Teams in identifying at-risk students based on behaviors, attendance, and academic performance
- With the building Problem Solving Team, develop, write and implement individual strategies and plans to at-risk students
- Work with at-risk students on character and social skills in individual and small group situations
- Schedule and attend meetings for the purpose of gathering and disseminating information regarding students who are at-risk of not academically progressing
- Contact parents / guardians of at-risk students for the purpose of soliciting their help
- Collaborate with other school personnel regarding at-risk students
- Support Problem Solving Teams in keeping track of interventions and progress of the students
- Monitors at-risk students for the purpose of determining appropriate interventions
- Other duties as assigned
Evaluation :
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Special Services using the coordinator evaluation.
