Sr. Electrical Device Characterization Engineer - R&D

As engineers in the parametric test and device characterization group at Micron Technology, Inc., we support technology development by developing, deploying, and reporting results from electrical device characterization on groundbreaking memory and storage solutions! In addition to working with traditional CMOS and interconnect, you will have the opportunity to develop new methodologies for characterizing novel devices.

In this role you will partner with engineering teams from process integration, process development, design, product, and quality & reliability.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

You will collaborate with multiple subject areas and global teams within technology development

You have the passion to succeed and ability to independently learn innovative memory systems

You will own and implement electrical characterization of a variety of semiconductor devices

You will employ strong data analytical skills and experience in automating data analysis methods

Strong candidates have these qualifications :

Strong background in semiconductor device physics, electrical characterization, processing, andinstrumentation (5+ yrs.)

A deep understanding of device operation in memory systems including NAND, DRAM, storage class, and other memories (5+ yrs.)

Self-motivated and hardworking to find creative solutions to challenges

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

Experience in the operation and automation of semiconductor instrumentation including, but not totally limited to : Parameter analyzers, SPA, SMU, LCR meters, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Pulse & Wafeform Generators, Wafer Probers, ATE and bench systems.

Knowledgeable in a variety of software tools and operating systems, including :

Python, C / C++, Unix / Linux, JMP / JSL

Experience defining electrical characterization methods and writing algorithms.

Minimum Education / Experience :

MS / PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years extensive experience in semiconductor devices and process
