Operating Room Registered Nurse OR DT
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse OR DT to join our team. The ideal candidate will independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care and policy and procedure.
This role requires providing direct nursing care to patients, assuming teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participating in unit committee and quality improvement activities with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document medical and nursing patient care information in the electronic or paper medical record
- Obtain patient history using appropriate interview techniques and provide intervention within the unit policy time frame
- Deliver patient care and treatment using problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Administer medication safely and accurately, and utilize available resources when questions arise
- Evaluate outcomes of care and ensure completion of care assignments in a reasonable amount of time
- Maintain communication with patient family / significant other as patient progresses through continuum of care
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- One year of recent OR experience is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Intermediate computer knowledge : Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
